Cinemas around Stirling

Vue Cinema Stirling

Forthside Way, Stirling FK8 1QZ, UK – 0345 308 4620

The cinema is fantastic. The screen we saw and the sound of the film. Exceptional. The cleanliness of the cinema, spot on. However there was one young girl serving tickets and food and 10 people waiting. She was more interested in the lads Infront rather than serving. And there should have been more staff. This was for a new film and a 9pm showing. Other than that, it would be 5 star.

Typical cinema. Big screen with big sound. Seats in good condition. Overpriced food available to purchase but you are allowed to take your own. You can book tickets online. You can also select which seats you want for your viewing pleasure. Toilet facilities are available

Theatres for Stirling

The Tolbooth

Jail Wynd, Stirling FK8 1DE, UK – 01786 274000

Top venue for intimate gigs from interesting artists from wide range of musical styles. Attractive bar, though no draught beers. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

This is an awesome venue with an intimate atmosphere. I would highly recommend checking if there is a concert there while you are in town.

Albert Halls

Albert Place, Dumbarton Rd, Stirling FK8 2QL, UK – 01786 473544

Was at Magic of Motown on Friday night and was pleased to have front row seats. However, this was short lived as there were three big boxes at the front of the stage (speakers or lights perhaps?) which blocked out the rear centre area of the stage. I did not expect restricted view being in the front row. It was not helped by the stage height. I complained and it was suggested I try balcony seats but all front row seats were taken and the second row was restricted view due to people sitting in front so no better off. Very disappointed. The actual performance was very good and 'Michael Jackson' was superb!

This place feels a bit tired backstage, as I was performing. The cafe is OK with OK coffee. Seats were comfy and lighting was impressive. The acoustics were not too bad either. There was a horrible honk of cigarette smoke outside, so I would suggest that the smoking area should be moved to somewhere better.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Stirling

St Columba's Church, Park Terrace, Stirling FK8 2NA, UK – 01786 628877

Professional, friendly performing arts classes led by experienced teachers. Great mix of drama, singing and dance each week. Well-organised and run too.
