Barclays Bank

16 Murray Pl, Stirling FK8 2DD, UK – 0345 734 5345

very friendly and helpful staff never had a issue yes sometimes you can be waiting but that is due to the design of the place with only two customer servicing points and the business desk you can not blame the staff for head office nor spending money on better premises

Regardless of previous posts, I have always found the staff pleasant and helpful. Have been using this bank for years with no problems.

TSB Bank

52 Murray Pl, Stirling FK8 2BX, UK – 01786 399998

Used ths bank all my life, honestly say I have never had a single issue, had all queries delt with swiftly and found the staff both friendly and professional. No plans to ever change bank for this reason.

An excellent bank, comfortable and clean. The staff are courteous and helpful. The one downside is that there is no free parking nearby, only paid up the road or in the Thistles or permit parking directly outside. There's also a cash machine outside.

Bank of Scotland

7/13 Port St, Stirling FK8 2EJ, UK – 01786 422001

bank is exceptional and quickly deals with complaints or issues etc. just a shame they don't have a deposit ATM outside.

Quite a good bank

Allan Park Medical Practice

19 Allan Park, Stirling FK8 2QD, UK – 01786 451375

The staff has always been very kind to me, and I am impressed by how much care Dr Fyall has given me, considering how obnoxious the process of finding the right med has been! He is a great doctor and a great person. I'm happy I got assigned this clinic!

I have been with Allan Park for 10 years. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. The G.P's themselves are very good. I have seen all of them at one point or another over 10 years. Dr.Gaskill, who is noe retired, was one of the best and most honest doctors I have ever had. Dr.Steele I would likewise, she really listens, makes you feel comfortable and seems to really care about her patients. Two newer doctors Dr.Dunsmore is very good, really listens, gives you time and you don't feel rushed and she is very easy to talk to. Dr. Phall, I have only seen a couple of times but he seems very genuine and friendly. I suffer from really bad anxiety and other problems and find it really hard to talk my problems and usually feel very uncomfortable. The staff and doctors at Allan park have never once been rude to me or made me feel uncomfortable. I'm very happy that I'm with them as they genuinely seem to care and want to help. I went through a really bad time a few years ago after a break up and doctor Stelle was brilliant and really took time out to help me and make sure I was safe and sound. Very good practice

Kalmed Clinic

Springfield House, Laurelhill Business Park, Stirling FK7 9JQ, UK – 01786 406410

A doctor who has the time to discuss your whole history, follows up to see how you are getting on, and who you can drop an email to and get a personal reply! What's not to like! I could also mention, thorough, knowledgeable and friendly too. Worth using for a second opinion too, if you just want peace of mind! Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend this service. The care I received here was fantastic. After 6 months of struggling in pain with a medical condition and no help from my own GP, I decided to use this clinic. A speedy service and a doctor who went above and beyond for me and now I'm on the road to recovery. Very friendly and patient service. The doctor made me so comfortable and made me feel as if I was a priority. Will definately be recommending and using this clinic in the future.

Viewfield Medical Practice

3 Viewfield Pl, Stirling FK8 1NJ, UK – 01786 472028

To be fair, its a busy surgery and yes I would like to get an appointment same day but unless its an emergency you cant. On the whole the staff are good despite what must be a difficult and somewhat thankless job. If we want a better health service we need to pay for it !

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Stirling Community Hospital

Recently returned from a holiday in Scotland. During my holiday I needed emergency medical assistance. I went to the Minor Injuries unit at Stirling Community Hospital. The assistance I received was fast, efficient. I was referred onto Forth Valley Royal Hospital for further treatment, but this emergency clinic was excellent. A big thank you to nursing staff who were very helpful and caring. Well done NHS Scotland!

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

Stirling Baptist Church

67 Murray Pl, Stirling FK8 1AU, UK – 01786 450581

Without a doubt the most up-lifting, positive, spiritually focused church I've been to, it was my first time going and I was so welcomed and I left having been woken back up to Christ and his message, both me and my partner have not been to church for a few months but we already feel a presence and a message at this church. I was surprised to see a lot of younger people but happy at the same time as we need to spread the word of Christ as they are the next generation, A special word and preyer for Helen who made us so welcomed, thank you. We'll be back for more next week...

We visited Stirling on a family holiday. Our visit to Stirling Baptist Church was wonderful. It is evident that Rev. Dr. Alasdair Black is leading a vibrant ministry in the city of Stirling.

Stirling Free Church

Smith Art Gallery & Museum, 2RQ, Dumbarton Rd, Stirling FK8 2RQ, UK – 01786 815926

Warm and welcoming church that proclaim the gospel. Recommend a visit.

Many years ago I had the privilege of being involved in the Free Church of Scotland's church plant in Falkirk. It was seventeen years of fast and yet fulfilling ministry. Finding myself last Sunday in the Smith Art and Museum, venue for the new church plant known as Stirling Free Church, was like turning back time. Wonderful to witness the vision and enthusiasm of the core group committed to this new work. Wonderful to preach within a lovely and very adequate building to a very receptive and diverse group of people; both morning and evening. Wonderful to evidence a vibrancy and expectancy for growth - something, sometimes lacking, in congregations who have settled for decline and maintenance. If your moving or visiting Stirling or, even curious, please consider paying this congregation a visit. You might find its warmth and winsomeness just what your looking for and so become part of what I believe will be an exciting congregation and influence for good within the City. Find Recycling Centres

John Graham (Metals) Ltd

8 Munro Rd, Stirling FK7 7UU, UK – 01786 461807

I ordered a skip a few days ago and requested it be delivered first thing in the morning. I was very happy to see that the skip was at the premises before I got there. I am such a poor judge of quantity and once the skip was filled to the top, realised I would require another. I called back and despite them being two drivers short, they managed to deliver a second skip and even called me to give me a heads up for when it would be delivered. 2nd skip was filled very quickly so I called again to request uplift and they uplifted within an hour. Very efficient, polite and also fantastic with communications.

We-Pay (cash for clothes)

3 Main St, Stirling FK7 9AW, UK – 0800 054 2467

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Pizza Hut Restaurants

Springkerse Retail Park, Stirling FK7 7TL, UK – 01786 849326

This has to be my favourite Pizza hut and it is all down to the staff. They are so welcoming and friendly, happy to make suggestions when you can't decide if you want either a menu pizza or the buffet, and will put on a specific type of pizza if you are veggie or prefer a base style. My only complaint is that I live to far away now to visit this place more regularly.

Lunchtime buffet is value for money. Would recommend.

Brea Restaurant
